Visiting the northwest is like touching the Creator`s work with your hands, complemented by human intelligence, the eyes are filled with the splendor of the Puna and the hearts shudder when that incredible silence of the mountains appears to confuse itself with the blue yawn of an impeccable sky.
ITINERARY
Day 1
SALTA Reception at the airport in Salta.
Transfer to Hostal Selva Montana, located in Villa Lorenzo in a natural envirorment surrouded by exhuberant vegetation and only 11 km. from Salta.

Day 2
SAFARI TO THE CLOUDS Breakfast.
Early in the morning transfer to 9 de Julio park to take the movitrack, vehicle adapted to the terrain and which at the same time allows for panoramic views.
The journey begins; we follow the itinerary of the Train to the Clouds with spectacular views, on the rails of the train . In the beautiful Quebrada del Toro there are several stops to have breakfast.
Arrival at San Antonio de los Cobres (3775mts.) where a typical lunch is served (not included)at an inn. We continue our trip on road 40 in the Puna up to Salinas Grandes.These 4x4 vehicles alllow you to get near the llamas.
After a 4000 mts. path we descend on a winding road called Cuesta de Lipàn and in the afternoon we get to the historical town of Punamarca with the famous Siete Colores hill
We then take the road from San Salvador de Jujuy back to the city of Salta.

Day 3
SALTA Free day. We suggest a day in the country at EL Manantial which is located 15 km. away from the International Airport “El Aybal”, to the west of the city of Salta on the low slopes that form the first ridges of the Andes and 30 km, away from Campo Quijano.
A big garden surrounds the principal house, from which you can appreciate the Valle de Lerma and the Cordillera de los Andes. 10 km. away there is an “ermita” or house of stone where there is an old wheat windmill from the time of the jesuits.
The ranch in colonial style, has big and confortable rooms with a view the landscape. The rooms with private bathrooms have been designed to allow guests to enjoy the peace of the countryside and to rest .The ranch has a milking yard and a pigs’ feedlot that can be visited by the guests and even participation in the daily farming activities is part of the plan.
The activities offered are horseback riding, trekking , dealing with the cattle together with the workers at the ranch,visit to the “ermita”,climbing up 2500m.a.s.l. which takes around 6 hours in the direction of the Valle de Lerma ( transfer to the ranch not included ).

Day 4
THE CALCHAQUÌES VALLEY Transfer to 9 de Julio park to set off in the movitrack.
You will climb up the Cuesta del Obispo to later cross National Park de los Cardones and reach to the old town by the name of Cachi. Along a very picturesque way you will border the fertile valleys of the Calchaquì river to cross the extraordinary Quebrada de las Flechas, going through the little towns of Molinos and San Carlos.

Day 5
CAFAYATE AND BACK TO BUENOS AIRES Visit on foot to the ruins of the old Quilmes settlement to continue then towards Cafayate to visit and learn about the agricultural activity of the Calchaquìes Valleys vine-growing, tasting the wine is an added pleasure The way back to Salta is through the wonderful sights of de las Conchas river, with its rocky formations. Transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires.
